Handling of Personal Data

To Our Valued Customers
Customers requesting services from Associated Global Systems Inc. are asked to read and consent to the following terms and conditions before providing personal data to the Company.

1. Purposes of Use of Personal Data

The Company shall clearly specify and provide advance notice/disclosure of the purposes of obtaining data on customers, and the Company shall only use this data within the scope necessary to accomplish those purposes. Customer data shall primarily be used in providing Company services (e.g., small-parcel delivery, removal, and travel services), introducing services to customers, conducting questionnaire surveys, concluding and executing agreements, collecting debts and fulfilling obligations, and carrying out other operations incidental to these. Should it become necessary to utilize customers' personal data beyond this scope, the Company shall inform customers in advance of the new purposes for which their personal data is to be used; customers not consenting to these new purposes may at their own discretion suspend use of their personal data for these purposes. The Company shall also handle customer data in soliciting sales of insurance as an agent for nonlife insurance companies.

2. Methods of Obtaining Personal Data

Data on customers (names, addresses, telephone numbers, etc.) shall be obtained principally from applications, agreements, and questionnaires. Data may also be obtained via the Internet, electronic mail, postcards and other means in the course of sales campaigns. Please note that the Company may be unable to provide services or respond satisfactorily to customer inquiries and consultations when data to be submitted voluntarily by customers is not available. The Company may also handle personal data entrusted to it by customer companies/organizations in carrying out tasks pertaining to the Company's services.

3. Provision/Consignment of Personal Data

A customer's personal data shall not be disclosed or otherwise provided to third parties except when consent has been obtained from the customer in question or when disclosure is legally mandated. Should personal data be furnished to an outsourcing provider or other third party with the consent of the customer, the Company shall conclude an agreement requiring that the outsourcing provider/third party extend to this personal data the same protection as that offered by the Company, and the Company shall duly monitor the management of data by the outsourcing provider/third party. Should a customer pay for the Company's services by credit card, the customer's credit card data (credit card number, expiration date, etc.) shall be provided in electronic format to a clearinghouse affiliated with Nippon Express, or to the customer's credit card company for payment purposes.

4. Protection of Personal Data

The Company takes appropriate and reasonable measures - in terms of both technology and management - to properly protect the personal data provided by customers and prevent leakage, loss or destruction of this personal data. All organizations within the Company handling customers' personal data have specifically assigned managers to oversee the protection and management of this data, which is protected and managed in accordance with the instructions of those managers.

5. Notification of Purposes of Use, Disclosure, Amendment or Suspension of Use of Personal Data

The Company is continually endeavoring to ensure that customers' personal data is accurate and up-to-date.
